Not all mushrooms are the same 🍄

Most people don’t think much about mushrooms - until they see the difference.

As someone who used to work in mushroom picking, I’ve always found it disappointing buying mushrooms from supermarkets.

I know what fresh mushrooms are supposed to look like.

But what we often see on shelves are mushrooms that have been handled multiple times - pressed, touched, and moved around - leaving marks and reducing their quality.

Mushrooms are delicate.

During my training, we were taught to handle them like eggs - gently and carefully - because even the slightest pressure can leave marks.

That’s why FreshCap focuses on:

  • Freshly harvested from the farm
  • Minimal handling to prevent bruising
  • Clean, firm, and premium quality
  • Carefully packed to maintain freshness

So we offer grades for different needs:

- Premium: for the best quality, appearance, and freshness

- Standard (Second grade) : still fresh, with slight imperfections, at a more affordable price

- Cooking grade (Third grade): best suited for sauces, bulk cooking or commercial use where appearance doesn’t matter

I don’t want to convince you with just words.

I want you to experience the difference - and see mushrooms for what they truly are.

Delicate. Clean. Almost like eggs.

Because mushrooms are nearly 90% water, even the smallest touch can leave a mark.
